This certificate is for students who want to gain valuable workplace-related Spanish language communication skills to use in the workplace.  Students learn and practice pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and cultural awareness to improve communication in Spanish. The goal of this certificate is to increase students' ability to speak and aurally comprehend Spanish in work settings and increase opportunities in the workforce.

1. Understand and respond verbally to basic workplace-related questions using the simple present and simple past tense.
2. Generate basic conversations based on cultural awareness including courtesy formulas, small talk, cultural etiquette and workforce situations.
3. Demonstrate basic accuracy in pronunciation and syllable stress with emphasis on specific sounds of letter combinations.
