ESL Vocational, Landscaping and Gardening, Certificate of Completion
The Vocational ESL Landscaping and Gardening certificate prepares beginning high-intermediate level ESL students for jobs in landscaping and gardening. Special emphasis is placed on developing vocabulary pertinent to the field and to acquiring an entry-level familiarity with common phrases for interacting with English speaking customers. There are no prerequisite requirements for this program, and courses are open to all students.

- Integrate and apply reading, listening, speaking, writing, and vocabulary skills at a high-beginning ESL level according to the National Reporting System Educational Functioning levels for ESL to the Green Gardener program content.
- Apply verbal and written communication skills in tasks/activities related to the gardening and landscaping workplace, such as restating the gist of verbal and written communications and incorporating landscaping/gardening terms in oral presentations.
- Demonstrate English language and communication skills through application of appropriate terms, organization, and clarity in job attainment tasks such as interviewing and completing job applications in the landscaping and gardening sector.
