Theatre Arts, Certificate of Achievement (C)
This one year curriculum will cover three broad areas: historical overview of drama, basic acting training and basic technical theatre skills. These courses are intended to give the student a complete introduction to a course of study in theatre, culminating in a Certificate of Achievement: Theatre Arts.
Complete all Department Requirements for the Certificate of Achievement with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better. Candidates for a Certificate of Achievement are required to complete at least 20% of the department requirements through SBCC.

- Effectively use vocabulary, techniques and processes to act in a performance of a play.
- Effectively use basic technical theatre vocabulary and apply fundamental theatre craft skills.
