International Baccalaureate Examination Program
Santa Barbara City College
Santa Barbara City College may grant credit toward the Associate Degree by petition for some high-level International Baccalaureate examinations, where a grade of a 5, 6, or 7 has been earned. Students wishing to receive credit for international baccalaureate examinations should contact the college’s Articulation Officer for petition procedures.
University of California and California State University
A score of 5, 6 or 7 on Higher Level exams is required to grant credit for Cal-GETC certification. An acceptable IB score for Cal-GETC equates to either 3 semester or 4 quarter units for certification purposes. Students who have earned credit from an IB exam should not take a comparable college course because transfer credit will not be granted for both.
For detailed information about campus-specific International Baccalaureate (IB) policies, please consult the individual websites of each University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) campus.
